Drawing to Learn – Science (STEAM) over Spring Break
Instructor: Dr. Lee Ann Woolery
Youth class (12-17)
Spend your spring break exploring the desert through artists’ eyes. Before photography, many scientists were skilled as both artist and scientist. Botanists, zoologists, geologists all sketched to learn about the subject they studied thus advancing their scientific understanding. Let’s draw saguaros, road runners, lizards, cottonwood trees and learn about their relationship to one another and their important role in the Sonoran Desert. All levels of experience welcome. Cost per session $15. Materials fee ($5) at first class or bring your own. Sign-up for all 3 classes pay 1 x materials fee. Materials list forwarded after registration. Held at NWAC.
